Gran Meliá wanted to offer their clients a Valentine’s Day filled with glamour, sickness luxury and exclusivity. We proposed the concept “great love stories happen in real life too”, which led to the creation of the #GreatLoveStories campaign.
Through the use of a Facebook application, we proposed a contest to win a stay in a hotel of their choice. To participate, users had to tell their love story by choosing an image, adding words to it and then sharing the final image on social media.
We controlled the campaign through the brand’s social networks with cover photos, visual posts, a 30 second video, and ads in Facebook and Twitter. The result exceeded expectations, with more than 11,000 interactions, a reach of more than 300,000 users and the acquisition of almost 500 fans on Facebook.
